Dyno Day Confirmed! June 12th at 8:00am
5 months ago, ZXsaint organized a really fun Dyno Day event at Strictly Dyno in Reseda, CA. They agreed to dyno everyone's cars for...I think....$40-$45 with 3 pulls and A/F. About 20 plus cars showed up and it was a total blast.
Would the greater LA/OC Forced Induction people be interested in doing a similar dyno day on a Saturday? Not sure what kind of discount we can get, but their normal price is still very reasonable...$60 w A/F. 350Now and I have dynoed here already. They use a Dynojet....forgot the model number, and will give you print outs of the graph and A/F table. If you bring a disk, they will let you save the file for future reference.
At this, point, I just wanna see how many people would be interested in doing this. It would have to be a Saturday morning thing.
After we do the runs, with everyone's permission, I'll save all the files and post them up with technical specs, mods done, boost pressure, timing...whatever. As we all strive to make the max safe and reliable WHP, this could really help us learn from one-another.
This isnt going to be a contest or anything (Cheston ) ...just pure dyno fun!
So please post if you are interested...and any Saturdays that are BAD for you. Personally, i will make myself free for ANY Sat. Once I get the responses back, I'll Dan and negotiate for a discount...and setup a date.
Mod...please leave this thread in the F/I section...becuase not all so cal F/I people surf the so cal board. Thanks!

Will the 3 runs be back to back or there will be a 5-10 mins cool off period? I kinda wanna use the A/F reading to tune up my SAFC between runs. See if it makes any difference.
Are there any nice restaurants near? maybe it can be our next meet. Dyno all day, dinner at night. FUN FUN FUN! If so, we should link this to the SoCal section too.

The runs are back to back. You can have maybe 3mins or so to make some minor tweaks with your AFC. But they are essentially done back to back to back.
Can a mod do a double post link to the SoCal forum??

Sweet, thanks for organizing this Sharif. I know I mentioned i'd set this up, but i've been busy lately and haven't had the chance, sorry.
I've been pondering the idea of seeing if we can have a dyno weekend there. Two days of dyno to let everyone dyno, modify, and redyno for gains. It'll also work out for people that can't make it on a saturday and have sunday available.
I also looked into getting technosquare to come down flash ECU's after dyno runs -- but they weren't interested in doing that. Jason@Performance however said that they're interested and that they may be able to deliver orders to the event location allowing for the 2nd day dyno'ers to modify saturday night and checkout their gains on sunday.
Just some ideas i'm tossing on the table. In any case, count me in.

As for resturants, theres countless places on Ventura blvd ... just a few minutes south. Or there's an Arby's down the street that's been an old weekly car meet spot for years. Just not *the best* neighborhood anymore, so i'd recommend we go to ventura blvd.

Thanks ZXSAINT.....Patrick...you are the ulimate promoter!
Spread the word, and feel free to setup a double post in the SoCal forum. Honestly, it doesnt have to be an F/I exclusive thing. Lets get everyone involved if possible. Thanks!

yup...no date set yet. It does sound like anyone sat/sun will work..since nobody has posted exclusions.
Patrick, can you take the point on checking with Dan for Jun 12/13?
Realisticalliy, it might be difficult to get 30 slots to commit to two days...but maybe I am wrong. If not...then a simple Sat all day thing could work as well.
Thanks for stepping up. Once we lock down the date...lets kill this thread and start a new one...the official announcement and signup.
