FREE MREV for 1/4 mile times.
Hi guys,
I wrote Alberto a PM about this and he likes the idea.
I have a free Copper Iso Thermal MREV with a modified collector for any 350Z or G35 REVUP owner who will let Alberto pre/post test it on the 1/4 mile drag strip.
It will be the full Copper Iso Thermal MREV kit with the modified intake runners and 5/16" spacer. A $635 value!
I have been trying to find someone with good 1/4 mile driving skills to test the MREV mod on a REVUP engine. But so far I havn't had any luck. The REVUP engine is too new and there arent many drivers like Alberto.
I would like to see Alberto test the new MREV mod on the track. Alberto doesnt have a REVUP engine but if you or anyone you know who has a REVUP 350Z or G35, I'll hook you up (or your buddy) with a free MREV.
I only ask that Alberto be allowed to pre/post test it on the strip and post the results. The pre/post testing could be done the same day or completed the next day. What ever it takes to get fairly equivalent test conditions. Let Alberto be the judge of what the equivalent conditions are, and how many pulls he needs to feel reasonably confident in the results.
Scan in all the slips and take note of the test conditions. Get it on mpeg video if you can. All the various different times and speeds will be entered into the computer and the statistics will be graphically analysed.
A stock REVUP Z or G is prefered.
Tons of REVUP G35 drivers have installed MREV and they really like what it does for their car... Many have reported their tires are breaking lose or how the car now easily rotates sideways. What ever it does to your car, the change isn't small. Its not nitrous or FI but it isn't a boarderline placebo type mod. MREV will really change the way your REVUP engine responds.... but how it feels doesn't mean anything about what it will do at the drag strip. I would really like to see what this mod does when tested by a good driver on the strip.
There is no particular hurry to do this. I know its really cold in your area right now so we can do it whenever the opportunity is right.
Thanks,
Tony
PS the picture shown below does not have the modified runners but yours will have it.

Only one MREV will be given away for this test. First come, first serve.

BTW-your ok with me driving your car down the 1/4? People usually freak when they see my vids or see my shift in person, the "abuse" on the transmission looks worse than it is. 53K miles strong still on my stock clutch

I will probably start modding later. I just traded my 03 for this one, so not sure what I am going to do yet. I can wait until next season...that would be fine with me.
I am ok with you driving it. you will not kill my car will you? hehe

Man I wish I saw this thread earlier. I would have step forward. Anyways, tommy you shouldn't worry about Alberto's shifting. . . . . your car will be fine. I just started messing around with his shifting technique. At first it felt funny but man there is a big difference in shifting that way, than the reg. If things fall through, let me know!

BTW didnt your last tranny lose some gears after you got air born for 1 sec and landed or some dumb $hit like that? BTW if your wrecking tranny's so fast after powershifting you shouldnt be doing it
