UpRev ECU Flash: Multiple maps on stock ecu
How do they do it? For an extra $100 (in addition to the regular price for a reflash), you can have them flash 3 maps onto a stock ecu - stock, performance, valet, according to their site. Also, they provide you with a switch to change between maps.
How is this done? Do any other companies do this? This would be great for non-ems guys running nitrous who want to have a non-spray map with advanced ignition timing and the be able to switch to a spray-map with retarded timing.
Edit - no new switch needed, the maps are switched by using the cruise control switches.

This is sweet. I am in Austin and I remember when they came to our local Z club meeting when they first came out with Cipher. I'm glad they are finally doing tune/flashes. I'm gonna have to pay them a visit.

Thanks to dTor for point this thread out.
here's how it works.
We use a two button combination of the cruise control switches. For instance, while holding the "set/coast" toggle, each depression of "cancel" will change the map selection. The switch is confirmed by a pulse of the "set" light. one pulse for map1, two pulses for map2, etc.
Adding map switching does not disable the regular cruise control functions.
The map switch is instantaneous, you won't have to restart the car or anything like that either.
We can set the maps for whatever you want in any order. Stock, Track, N20, valet, or custom. Say you want to loan your car out but don't want them hauling at 100+; you can set one of the maps with whatever speed and rev limit your comfortable with.
If your local to Austin, we can add this into our custom dyno tuning as well as the Mail-In service.
Cheers,
Matt.

This is great..perfect for you Phil. Too bad I just tuned the UTEC. I want my top speed restrictions taken off my stock ECU. Can you guys do that for cheaper than $400? I don't need a tune or the rev limit raised....just the speed limiter disabled. Thanks.
