ATTN: D/FW Showboaters and Ricers... come learn how to drive your car.
I'm posting this on behalf of Steve Harrison, VP of ZCOT. We need to round up 8 more people to make this one-day event happen.
Saturday August 9th I'm working on organizing a focus day at Motorsports Ranch. This involves track time and classroom time. Should be a fun way to work on some skills and learn the track.
Cost is $95. Please let me know if you are interested.
-Steve
If interested AND you can attend, send an e-mail to Steve ASAP at: zweebach@yahoo.com. Understand that if it's your first time on the track and as this is only a one-day event, you will not be destroying brakes on the car. New pads wouldn't hurt at all though.

It's an all day event, usually an 8 to 5 affair. With only 20 cars allowed in, you're sure to get some serious track time and valuable instruction. But, if we can't get the number of people together, it won't happen.

dammitall...this probably doesn't help you guys at all, but I would give anything to get this pushed out 1 or 2 weeks...or anytime after August as well. I would definately pony up a hundred bucks for that.

Is this the same event as the TMS thread here in Texas forums??
Both in DFW on Sunday...we need to let our powers combine...I hope it is the same event.
BTW, where can I go to pick up a cheap helmet and gloves?

Bump. I wish this were closer to PA/NJ. I'd be there in a heartbeat. To those of you who are not sure if you want to attend or not...take it from me, it is the most fun you can have in your car (I mean it!). After your first event, you'll wonder why you haven't been doing this since you got your license.

Helmets can be rented at MSR track for $10 for this event. If you want to buy, then Racers Store in Arlington on Cooper, or Bobby Archer Motorsports in FW, or Smileys in Mesquite can supply you. "Cheap"? How much is your noggin worth to you personally?!!? SA2000 or SA95 is required, I believe.
