Trying to get ECU back to oem tune
Hey guys I had a previous read but it won't let me reply to it on here. We got done putting a new engine into my step brothers 350z which he blew up by putting a turbo in it and not properly tuning it. It now has a half turbo tuned ECU. We just want to get the ECU to go back to stock.
I called Nissan and they told me that for $125 they can try and do it but if they can't figure it out we still have to pay them. I bought another stock ECU but it's giving us codes saying that the air meters aren't working. Everything is new. After further examination it looks like we put the wrong computer in. The original one was " RP MEC31-640 A1 3623". The new one we put in was "R4 MEC35-580...." I believe.
If I ship the ECU to any of you guys can you reflash the original back to stock?
Thanks in advance

I have no idea what tune was partially done on it. I believe my step dad towed it somewhere an hour or two away. After it blew up on the dyno he towed it home and didn't talk to the guy again. Is there any way to just reset it back to stock? I don't mind paying someone to do it I just don't want to buy another ECU and have it not work as well..

Acording to uprevs website, the Nissan dealer can flash over their tunes. So the dealer should be able to reflash your ecu back to stock.
Also keep in mind even if you do get another ecu you will still need to get it reprogrammed for your car to start and run due to the NATS
Hope this helps
