How does your Z perform in snow with snow tires going uphill?
going uphill with snow tires.
lets there's about 1-2inches of snow on the ground and you need to go up a moderate hill. will your Z with regular snow tires (ie not studded) be up to par with FWD cars fitted with year round all seasons? (granted the FWD cars are not making it up very easily but getting there)

def just go for a beater car its so worth it cause snow is just so bad for its undercarraige...its not even the snow its the salt they lay down...and if you have nice rims def dont wants those messed up

beater car ftw, I live in michigan and wouldn't think about torturing my car with that salt in the winters...then the car washes, freeze your azz off in the do it yourself or go through a scratch city auto wash....no thanks. good luck with driving it in the winter.

Agreed. I was thinking of driving my Z up here in Winnpeg in the winter.......for about a microsecond! One driver slides into me on these crappy icy streets....death row for me. I slide into a curb....next thing you know I'm selling myself to make enough money to keep it in mint condition. Have the luxury of having a 1999 Nissan Altima and an AWD 2003 Pontiac Aztek (which, by the way, may be ugly, but what a great vehicle to drive, and to use.). First sniff of snow and in the garage it goes to be car heatered, started and moved, and babied until spring. Haven't been excited about spring since my only vehicle was a motorcycle. Don't drive it in the winter. For the price of tires, the swap, or tires/rims/TPM sensors you could get a beater for the winter.
