Default Can I add cruise control to my 350Z 08?

I have a 350Z 6 spd manual, it's red with the nice big spoiler on the back.. but doesn't have cruise control, which, wasnt a deal breaker when i got the car the other day.. but dealer told me was something I could get as a aftermarket part if I wanted to..

I've not been able to find any place online that carries a aftermarket cruise control online..

Don't trust whatever the dealer tells you. I don't think I've heard of an aftermarket cruise control, but I would imagine it to be pretty hard to install if there is one.

If it was one of the salesman... you must realize one thing: 80% of salesman barely know anything about the cars they sell.

The best, easiest way to get cruise control,
is to get an enthusiast.
One of the most irritating things about base,
is lack of cruise control.

well, not too surprised I can't.. I would usually use cruise just around town on the interstate, but it's 10 min trips, so no biggie really.. just got off phone with my insurance company and my ins only went up to $108 vs $89/month with the Z... really glad for that.

I had a Mazda RX-8 04... night and day difference in power vs the 350Z

Nope. The Z is "drive-by-wire" meaning that there is no physical connection to the throttle body from the accelerator. Add-on kits that use vacuum controls or other physical methods won't work. There's been no piggy-backs to the ECU to handle it either.

The Z has been out of 5 years now and I've yet to see anything that will add CC to a base model Z.

Some cars do have the ability to add CC to it aftemarket (i.e. most toyotas and Mazdas) but the Z doesn't support it

That's why when you buy your car you figure out what you want on it. It's very tempting to buy a base Z for the price. But later you will regret it. I could have bought my Z in January of 07 but it would have been a silverstone base. But I waited till july 07 and got what I wanted which was the PPW touring. CC comes in handy if your driving on a long road trip.

Waited to get an enthusiast because of CC and auto dimming mirror. The VLSD was also a big plus (factory).

I remember the last time I used cruise control... damn near fell asleep. I do believe it was also the first time I used cruise. I made 4 trips from the Mid-A to Ft. Riley, KS. and didn't use cruise but that one time. I don't know how people can.

Is true however that it's worth some money when it comes time for resale.

Second that! I drive 35 miles to work (each way) on a county highway (no lights/stops), and use CC for 90% of the trip. Not that it is needed, but why not use it if you got it?
