I figured I would go ahead and post this here for drivers of the actual car. I found it a bit easier to model a Z then other vehicles...I suppose owning one and seeing everyday helps. Well heres a link to the model. The next bump or update I do will be of the car completely done.. I wanted to see if anyone had input on the overall body shape since thats very important to me.
I want to be sure yall know, this isnt film quality....its next gen video game...Think of it as a vehicle in Death Race, if it were a game.

This thread makes me want to watch movies like The Wraith, and Mad Max.
Kind of reminds me of the upcoming game called RAGE made by id.
the Gatling guns pic would go perfect in it....

thanks for the comments fellas. Im glad your digging it right now.
tree: Thanks for the observation...I didnt even think to compare it to a G. That definetly tells me it needs fixing.
chaser: dont worry about that hood detail. It will be in there in the final product, its jsut not displayable at this level.

no mirrors =P
door handles could use more detail
bottom of front bumper is funny.
top of rear bumper isn't quite right. try doing it without the spoiler, then add another piece on top (the spoiler)
very nice modeling overall though.
Don't give up just yet, got to keep adding details and it will be sweet.

That game looks awesome!! It reminds me so much of The Road Warrior .... with the baddies from The Hills Have Eyes, I guess.

Im using Maya and since I'll be using normal maps what you see here is not going to be the end result in hardware view. I also plan on taking it into the Unreal editor. I do plan on doing some hardware renders but no actual post renders. now if this were film quality or "hi-res" I would.
As for damaged model, there wont be one. The one version Iam making will already have bullet holes, scratches, dirt, and dents in it. Im only aobut 10% done.

Checked out your post on polycount.com, noticed that unless this is a UE StaticMesh, your wheels need to not be drawn with ground-collision.
As long as the lights (head and tail) are still visible and you keep the overall roof-line, it will be obvious to anyone that it's a Z.
Some suggestions:
I notice in most video games the Z looks more blunt or bubbly than it does in real life. It's just the effect it has when you catch it from intense angles, eagle eye view etc...
If you're going to add something to the rear, I would give it the effect that the car is being extended out a bit, with a trunk level lip spoiler or bottom diffuser. Maybe something extending out the front like a lip spoiler, or in this case a guard or metal rake. It'll make the car look more aggressive, as oppose to blunt nosed bubbly look. I wouldn't change the whole bumper just so it will stay in true Z form.
Oh and one more thing: If you do Veilside V3 widebody...we will ban you.

Since Im going for a "mad max: road warrior" or "death race" look, the cars curves and length will definetly be exaggerated.
Thanks again for all the comments, I have made the necassary changers and an back on the armor and guns.

I actually completely removed the door handles from the car...as well as the rear view mirrors. Unfortunetly the guns would shot the mirrors right off...and as for the door handle well you just do it Dukes of Hazard style.
