Need new bushings
Hi Everyone, Brand new to the forum, 2006 roadster enthusiast. 121K miles. I would be happy with stock style bushings. Is there a supplier that sells a complete kit? Some bushings need some love and all of the boots are cracked. What can be done as ECONOMICALLY as possible? Appreciate any help and advice. I would probably do the job myself and I don't have a lift available.
OEM style bushings are not available in "kit" form from Nissan. There are aftermarket polyurethane kits available (Energy and Whiteline) ranging from the full suspension to isolated components. You mentioned cracked boots, making me think you're talking about ball joints or CV axles. You can purchase aftermarket OE-like balljoints individually, but Nissan typically sells balljoint & bushing related suspension parts as a complete assembly (pre-installed), meaning you would need to purchase complete upper or lower control arms, knuckles, etc. to get true OEM quality bushings/balljoints.
In terms of aftermarket parts, there aren't a lot of options for balljoints, I recommend checking Rockauto for those (Mevotech and Moog seem to the better options). For bushings, the closest OEM you may find are the Nismo units which are sold individually, but I have also seen some aftermarket rubber bushing options on Rockauto, the selection is very limited, focusing mostly on the rear suspension.
This is why most Z owners end up going with polyurethane bushing kits. I'm using a lot of Whiteline bushings for my front LCAs, Compression Rod/Arm, and rear differential. So far, no complaints.
Cheers!
