I just read a thread about someone almost getting carjacked.

1. Now i wonder what would you do, honestly, if you walked up on someone messing with your Z?

2. How would you react if you saw someone (girl or guy) door ding your Z or back into it and started to walk away?

3. and last but not least what kind of weapon do you carry in your Z?

I for instance carry a 2ft length of heavy duty chain, a folding knife, kelvar knucked gloves.

 

I love my car but assault charges, getting shot/stabbed in the face, etc dissuade me from going to crazy. I live in Baltimore City so if someone is messing with my car they are most likely more armed than me.

First thing I do. Call The PO-lice
Second thing I do. Call Allstate.

let the Law and Insurance sort things out. Someone having to pay for damage done to your car is always better than kicking their ***.

 

I carry a 2 AA cell mag light, and i would much rather let the cops/insurance deal with things.

Now if i caught someone as they broke my window or something, i may give them a couple of good hits to make sure they stick around till the cops get there.

 

I carry a sawed off 20ga single shot under the seat, and a 44 mag sometimes.

 

Take their picture and call the cops. Not worth getting shot for a car. If they're stealing it, let them. I got lojack

 

Taking a chance of getting shot when I pay for insurance for a reason is not smart.

 

If I wasnt fearful, which apparently many are, I would confront them. I most likely would be very angry in the process.

fearful.......Baltimore, is the no. 2 deadliest city in America. They are known for the 2nd highest murder rate. I'll be fearful for a reason.

 

Either of those will get you more jail time than anyone messing with your car. plus if anyone breaks into your car, those will be the first things to go. Just a thought...

I'd love to say I would do the intelligent thing, but I have a fairly bad temper when it comes to idiots. If it is malicious damage to my car, the odds are good I would get myself killed.

 

i would let it go. no need to get all worked up over nothing that big. life is too short.

 

My car was parked outside a mate of mines house on a saturday nite and some *** wit thought it would be funny to kick of my side mirror. They completely snapped the L bracket holding on the mirror so i have to get a full replacment mirror. Now in the states that may seem like a cheap fix but in Australia for a new OEM mirror it is $600 for one. Now my insurance excess is $1000 so im not goin to claim on it. If i had have caught this guy in the act me and the 10 mates that where sitting in the house at the time when it happened would have given him a pretty good touch up.

As a car enthusiast one of things i hate is vandalising someone elses car specialy a car like a 350 that they can see i spend alot of money on having and have invested alot of money in.

 

^^^ wow that sucks noobis.... but i had many ppl mess with my pervious import tuner car... but so far nothing really serious happened to my Z since i bought it (1.5 years ago) .. i just hope it stays that way.

If I see someone pathetic and desperate enough to be screwing with my car, I'd only hope they are armed. Therefore, I'll let them be. I pay good money to be reimbursed in the event something happens to my car.

Let me guess... You guys park your 20K "sports car" across 4 spaces at the mall when you're scoping for teeny-boppers? Christ......

I have a 45 auto with me most of the time. I had someone stop in the middle of the road while I was following them up the road to my house. After they stoped they threw it in reverse and slamed the front of my z then tried to take off. I went to see what the problem was and they tried to take off. I went to bust out the window and they got off my car and took off down a dead end road to there house. So I just blocked it off and got the cops. They still couldnt find them so I had to do it for them. All they got was a reckless driving charge. They tried to get out of it but I remembered the plate number when the cop came.
