Hi, i was wondering if anyone had experience swapping license plates between two of their cars in California. I have a vanity plate on my other car that i would like to put on my Z instead, how would i go about doing this?

It was easy. If you are a member of Autoclub of Southern California (AAA) they will do it for $40 in their office.
If not go to the DMV, and they will do it for the same price.

I'v got a friend who just swaped his "EYE 1" plates from his Z06 to his 350Z. The vette was sold do go towards a down payment on a house. Yes, the Z will be able to back it up
He simply walked into the DMV and said I just sold my car and I want to transfer my custom plates to my other one, and it was done within seconds. Just go in an ask.
BTW, it did not cost him anything.
