Not hating? That's a funny way of showing it.

Getting older has one privilege - decent insurance rates.

I just turned 50 (still 25 inside), and our Touring 04 Z Roadster is listed as pleasure (under 8500), and I smartly listed my wife as primary driver (we also have 3 other cars) which nets me a very low $599.oo a year insurance bill on the ZR for full high limits coverage (250 person/500 Thousand ACC - Property Damage 100 Thousand ACC).

97 Maxima - fully loaded
01 Pathfinder - fully loaded
05 Toyota RAV4 - Sport Model
Our Total Insurance Bill on all Four = $2,381

Sorry to read some of you younger guys are paying more for your Z then what I pay for our 4 cars, but when I was in your age group they Nailed me too... cheer up, you will grow older!

Meanwhile,
Might try to check out Erie Insurance - but you need to be clean!

I went on allstates website to get a quote under my own policy and not my parents and I have one accident and they quoted me $14,000 a year, what are they nuts, accident or not, no one deserves to pay that much

I'm 23 yrs old (i know under 20 only but my $.02) but i pay 1800 a year for my fully insured Z. I have no tickets. Just to let u guys know i payed 3500 for my bmw 328 when i was 17-20yrs old. Getting older does have some advantages :-)

Hey blackout you could buy a nice bmw m3 for 15k (1995-99) or a newer audi a4.

19 here. right now the car is insured through my dad and i'm not really sure what the cost of the insurance is for me to drive it. however, the car is being transfered to my name so the insurance will also be changed and the coverage will be for me as the primary driver. for allstate or state farm (which are the two companies my dad's insurance agent friend says are the best to go with) in FL, coverage is going to be around $3000-$3500 a year for $250k/$500k/$250k coverage. that's with 0 tickets and 0 accidents too, and some bonuses like good student and stuff.

It all depends on the state.

I was 20 when I bought the car .. and it was $3390/year 250k full covg.. And yes, I was also making the car payments.

I moved to CA 6 months ago, now I get a better rate, professional discount, and comb insurance discount and pay $1375/year 300k full covg.

I really don't think that the discounts I got made that much of a difference ... it was just the change from NY to CA.

To the person Blackout above: no one respects your opinion after a "non-confrontational" post .... great input man, much appreciated
