2000+ even with several other cars being insured by the same company. It's sad. I'm 17 too.

Three drivers, four (4) vehicles and one is a "Z". Ages 58 with no tickets or accidents, 20 with two tickets and no accidents and 17 with one ticket and no accidents. I am the only one that drives the "Z". Insurance costs: $3900 / 6 months.

OMG, sorry but I would never pay that much.

Do you pay for your own insurance?

25 and 1,500 a year. Wrecks and tickets were over 3 or 4 years ago so I'm not being charged....

Next time I renew I should be getting a little bit off since I turned 25. I'm with USAA.

Coverage is important too, dont get the cheapest you can. Get at least 50k liability, and really that isn't enough.

I cringe when people tell me they are covered up to 20k or so. If you get in a serious wreck, and it's your fault, those bills add up fast.

well, if you're 17 and someone is buying you a Z you're probably not going to be paying the insurance either so just go to the progressive website and email pops the quote.

A lot depends on the state you live in and who your insurance is with. Another big factor is discounts. I'm 49 and pay about $1700/yr. Without discounts, it would be over $2500.

When I bought my first Z, I was 24 and the insurance for the first 6 months was over $1000. It dropped to about $600/6mo after I hit 25.

My insurance agent told me that more than half of young drivers (16-18) will get in an accident. When you figure what it cost to repair/replace a Z, and with the high likelyhood that you will be in an accident, you can understand why the rates get so high.

Good lord, I'm 29, no ticket, no accidents, 3 cars, 2 drivers (other is wife, 27, no accidents, no tickets). For the 3 cars in total through Allstate, it's about $1800/YEAR (including the Z).

The rates also depend on where you live. I'm living in a quiet city, so my rate is nice (876/yr, 50k coverage, 28 yrs old).
