My friend Marc who goes to UMCP was telling me about your Z then a day later I see this post. Im sorry to hear this happened, I have a DB Z as well and just had my rear bumper replaced because of an accident.

Ya it sucks, and I was supposed to go back to Jersey tonight too but now I am prob stranded here till monday. I ended up telling the shop fix all the suspension parts etc...control arms, hub, etc etc and dont worry about any of the cosmetic stuff so its going to be $1400 and the rest will cover the exhaust and rims I just bought and hopefully an aftermarket front end.
Oh and a little inside info for people in the area...Myself and a few buddies are starting a tuner club on campus and will hopefully be putting together some kind of meet/event for next year so Im def. gonna need some Zs to come represent. Will update when there are updates to be had

kamikaZ and afro561, would you be interested in a drive in January? The last one we had turned out to be really good and we're hoping to gather up more people this time. If so, see this thread if you haven't already:

Cool

lucks are all around the Z drivers! donno if it's really tires problem or what, one thing I learned is not to drive Z in the rain.. same thing happened to me too but imagine that happened on freeway and flying across fours lanes on to the curb! by the time i had my stock 17" rim and my right front spokes had only one still connected to the hub not to mention other parts. thought i was gonna die or so i perfered.. broke up with my girl that nite, the nite before valentine. but after what happened and when the car stopped, i was laughing, starring at my car and laughing in the rain, how stupid i was life goes on! Put 20" on now, big brakes, new coilover setup. I kept my broken rim and placed it in the garage right in front of my car. it's a memory and reminder for me to drive safely everytime i get in and out. hope all my Z buddies will understand what i mean and dont push the car in the rain too much. take care and Be Safe!

Ya we were both lucky not to get hurt. Thats the reason I wasn't all that upset when it happened, it sucked...but could have been so much worse. Anyway glad to hear you are still happily modding.

Not trying to flame, but thanks for making our insurance rates rise!

BTW, the Z insurance symbol is moving from a 20 to a 23. Hmmm, I wonder why, with all these Z's getting wrecked due to driver error!

<<<Dons flame retardent suit!

I hear ya, your going to pay in Jersey.

Anyway I see a few things wrong, I believe your TCS was off, thas a no-no in da rain, and your stock oem piece of **** shitenza's. All 3 factors led to this, ugh, sorry to hear about your misfortune.

BTW, I am not mad at anyone one of you guys who wrecks your Z's, you guys are paying more than we will ever pay.

I just saw this happened back in December. So how high did your rates go up? Did your get her fixed and get the Volks on?

Ya my insurance co. is actually threatening to drop me if I have any moving violations or wrecks in the near future b.c. apparently this one got me a whole bunch of points on their records. My speeding ticket a month or two before the incident didn't help any either. On a positive note i id get the volks on and they look great, I have been meaning to post up some pics, but my bumper is still messed up.
