So I am not sure what to do...My upper control arm is obviously busted, and some other part not sure what its called, maybe tension rod or something. The rim is trash, my veilside lip is trash and the front bumper I will replace. Other than that I have a chip in the paint but I think I escaped without major damage. Still quite costly and a shitty night but life goes on...The Z should come out of this better than before, I am lookin to replace the rims with some Volk SF Challenges but maybe I'll just get some snow tires on there until I see whats going to happen with insurance etc.

Damn I thought that was my car for a second. Yeah I've fishtailed in the rain going around corners before and I just touched the gas pedal. This car is not so good in the rain, that's one of the reasons I bought a beater to drive around while my Z stays nice and dry in the garage.
Sorry about your car, but like you said it could of been worse.

Anything I can do about that big chip in my rear fender w.o repainting the whole thing? Also do I have to have the body shop give me an estimate, then insurance get their estimate and they compare? or just insurance or the body shop just does it and sends it to my company? Sorry bout all the questions but I am pretty clueless about this stuff.

Depends on the insurance company, just give them a call and they will inform you on their procedures.
I had to take it to one of their estimators, they gave me a check and a list of recommend body shops in the area.

So basically it's your own fault... because you were driving more agressively when it was slick out?

The same thing happened to me, that pic brought back bad memories. The total damges came to a little over $6000, so I am glad insurance took care of it. I got all my work done at the dealership so all the parts and everything were under warranty. Problems arose later like VDC light turning and staying on. Happened months later but insurance covered that too since it was all related to the accident. I feel for you, I hit both rims when I slapped the curb.
Good Luck
