Default 3 more weeks

I placed a deposit back in June and recieved a call today that my dealer has a Vin #. Today is a very exciting day. They told me 3 weeks not sure if that is a good guess. How long does it normally take after the dealer has given you the Vin#?

I have posted a few post on this site since i have joined. But not alot, since i do not own the car. I feel like im on the outside looking in. I cant wait until it is here so hopefully i can add more in a positive way to this forum.

Keep the info coming

Later guys
Todd

Check around using the search function and you'll find that the wait from VIN to delivery varies widely depending on stuff like geography and whatnot. Maybe you can find something more specific to your area using that. I'm in the same boat as you. My car's been at sea for a couple of weeks now and I'm on the west coast. I'm just waitin' for that phone to ring!

Generally, 6 to 8 weeks from VIN notification, to delivery. The cars have a nasty habit of sitting in port for extended periods prior to delivery to dealers. Dealers really have no clue when a Z is arriving, their estimates are just WAG's. When the car gets shipped from the port the dealer gets "invoiced" for it. He then knows a Z with VIN X is on the way. It is roughly 3 days from when he is invoiced and the Z is delivered.
