Which member have NOT received a car yet?
#21
1) Nov. 19 which is my dealer's next shipment. And she says to expect it early!
2) I didn't ask. I don't even know my current car's VIN
3) Not a preorder, but I noticed she faxed me the pre-order form anyway, I guess because it's a convenient form with all the right boxes and logo.
4) Sept. 6.

Ordered mines on 9/15/2002
No Order Number or VIN Number since my dealership has no clue what they are... :-(
Expected delivery date: Mid-Dec 2002 - Early Jan 2003.
If anyone know where I can get my order number or vin number, or any way to track my car, please let me know. Thanks.

port to dealership time...
Does anyone have any statistics on how long it has taken the average user's car to get from the boat (in other words just off the ship) to the truck for delivery? How long has this process taken on average? I don't really care about truck delivery time, since that is tied directly to how many stops the truck makes and how far it must travel to get to each dealership. My car has been at the dock for over a week now...just wondering how long it takes them to do the installs and get her to the truck.

1) When do you expect it?
2) Last four digits of vin number
3) Pre-order/ not pre-order
4) When did you order.
Next my350z first would be the first 'Non-preorder' to receive their car. I guess this is like the N.I.T. in college basketball.

I just noticed my car was in the dealer's inventory yesterday, like I mentioned above, and I just got the call today to pick it up! Thanks to Kathie Fullerton at Corona Nissan for a **61 day** turn around time from order, to the exact minute, and at MSRP. She got the car 2 MONTHS EARLIER than any other dealer in OC would quote me, and she offered cancelled pre-orders at MSRP too. So far she's been awesome to deal with, won't drill front license plate holes without asking first, and it's no wonder her dealership has the fine distinction Nissan has given them.

Redline350Z, I feel the pain........
You got me beat by a month......I ordered 2/15, got a VIN, no Friggin Z though.
8 months & 22 days, and counting......latest word is a Turkey day delivery.
What the fu*k is up with people ordering in June ( & later), and getting their Z's?

Sounds like we're set for delivery at about the same time EnthuZ. Did you notice that most of the people who ordered in the first month but haven't taken delivery yet in the VIN soup are from our area? Strange. I guess we are a pretty long distance from the port, be it Pacific or Atlantic.

Folks:
There is a BIG distinction between when you
ordered your car from your dealer and when your
dealer actually got around to placing your order
with Nissan. The dealers are only allowed to
place a certain number of orders each month, so
if they have a lot of customers, your order may
not actually go to Nissan for months. (The
dealer may not even mention this to you!)
IMPORTANT: If your dealer has placed your order
with Nissan then he should be able to give you
the order confirmation number. If he says he
doesn't have it, then he is lying and your car
has not been ordered!
At this point, once Nissan receives your order
your car should be delivered within 90 days.
(I got this info from a Nissan rep.)

I'd guess 60-90 days, depending on whether the dealer's time to order comes up right away.
In Southern California, I'd fully recommend Kathie Fullerton of Corona Nissan. This is another well-deserved plug for her, in fact.
She said:
- It was her last pre-order, and I got mine in right on the deadline (literally. within minutes).
- Surprised ANY pre-order people are still waiting, since I was her last. She said other dealers "must not know what they're doing."
- I *think* she said she's placed 8/10 of Corona's Z orders.
- They have been selling regular allocations above MSRP. I'm fine with that as long as they're honest about it.
- Commutes 70 miles per day to work at Corona Nissan, because they have a good reputation for being ethical. I figure they have to be good, because they're out in the middle of nowhere-land.
- Very up front about everything, and honest.
BTW, I know they've got a chrome silver in with 17" wheels. I think it was delivered with mine.
Man, everyone over there was exceptional. They came off totally nice and sincere. It's like the place is run by the scouts or something.
___
And here's stuff I've said before, but I'm repeating in case anyone is interested:
Buena Park: They had me drive down there and wasted my time. Added $3000 of extra junk to up MSRP, and wouldn't deal. Didn't indicate it was extra junk until I brought it up. I'm never dealing with them again. Ask a question, and they look around at each other, probably because they're not sure what the next guy has told you.
Tustin: Seemed nice. I almost ordered with them at MSRP, but their estimate was early Jan. Nothing bad. I still like 'em.
LB: Young salesman Jason said "There's no way you can't get a Z this year." Ok, not from them at least
HB, GG, Cerritos: Responded to my emails and were nice, but couldn't get me a car anytime soon.
Irvine: I was told here they were upping MSRP by adding junk. Yet they failed to mention junk to me on the phone. No deal!
