2 Years ago, my wife & I were at her family's in south Florida. One night we went out and bought a bunch of lobsters for dinner, and tossed the bag in the trunk of her mother's car. The next day, it was 96 degrees outsinde and in the afternoon, we decided to go to the beach. One of the lobsters had fallen out of the bag unbeknownst to us the night before and had been roasting in the afternoon 96 degree + Florida sun with the windows closed. Words cannot describe how horrble it smelled in that car.

How do you accidentally slip raw chicken in your car? Were you trimming the fat off befor eyou brought it inside.
Na, it fell out of the bag, slid down the storage bin lid and ended up under the seat and I never noticed. 1st gen Rx-7.

You can buy a case of 10 refills for around $60 shipped off eBay.

How long do you find that they usually last?

Where do you get the Air Spencer things? I still have the air freshener from Nissan called NEW CAR SMELL. But eventually I'll have to get one.

I've seen several on eBay. That's where I got mine. Try searching Froogle to find some others (http://froogle.google.com).

I use that really inexpensive Series2000 gel stuff they sell at places like Kragen. It's Jasmine scented and does a pretty good job. Girls like it quite a bit.

I have the Air Spencer CS-X3 in my 240, I don't see where you'd mount that on the Z though. Do the vent mounted ones work well?

I'm thinking about just putting it in either the driver side or passenger side (most likely passenger) storage compartment/cup on the side of the seat.

Meguiar's leather protectant/conditioner spray makes the car smell AMAZING but usually only lasts 2-3 days. It shines and makes the seats nice and slippery though!

Are you serious of having not just one nor 2 but three (3) California scents on your car?

You'll definitely be Hoooked with all that in there.

I get a headache with just one of that in my car and its placed under the passenger seat. "coz it's too strong but smells good after 2 days.

There are 3 lil' squares loaded with powerful oils! I place one under the passenger seat, drivers seat and rear hatch area.

Mark my words....... whoever tries this tuff will be HOOKED!

It is literally almost too powerful the first day or 2 but after that... people are like, "Damn... Who spilled the Coronado Cherries?"

An airfreshener thread? LOL

Oh well might as well post.
I have the mini Airspencer ones, you know, the ones that look like two little cigarette barrels attached to each other. They go on the vents. I decided not to get the O.G. CS-X3 one's because theres no where to plant that thing.

I think the scent is "fresh detergent" or "fresh laundry" something like that. I might try the "squash" refills.

When I had the Rx-7 R1 a friend of mine sat in it and I took her for a ride and she commented the car turned her on... Quote "This car is getting me wet!"... Best smell I've had in a car

New car smell is nothing more than the smell of new carpet. Just buy some new floor mats. LOL. Those california scent things are really really strong. I put one in my car (roadster) and it is pretty strong.

I still have my new car smell (or so I'm told)... after it's gone, I'll look into one of those little air fresheners from Jtown (with the box that is entirely written in Nihongo ).

At what kinds of stores do you find these? My local Auto Zone has never heard of them?
