Hey guys this may be a real dumb/noob question but I was wondering which color is my Z. When I bought the car I was told that it was liquid aluminum, but when i went to the dealer to get touch up paint they typed in my vin number and it said that it's chrome silver. It really doesn't matter to me cause I love the color, but it'll really help to know. Thanks a lot guys

 

Chrome Silver. The Liquid Aluminum was a $1100 option I believe.

I'm saying liquid aluminum... look at the way the light is reflecting off the paint. Chrome silver does not do that.

 

Shouldn't there be a sticker in the door jamb with the paint code?

my first guess was liquid aluminum... it looks real light to me, but i haven't seen too many liquid aluminum pics on the board...

one thing i do know is that you should NEVER believe anything the dealer tells you

I'm guessing he bought it used. Isn't the paint code tag under the hood? It looks a little bright to be chrome silver so I'll go with liquid aluminum.

 

look under the hood by the battery box. ther is a tag with the color code on it. color code for chrome silver is KYO. i don't know the code for liquid aluminum, none listed on the service bulliten

 

Each car has a paint code. Have your dealer check it for you.
By the way, I have seen numerous signatures with 2004.5 as model year. What month is the cutoff for a 2004.5? My 2005 has a build date of 8/2004. Just wondering.

 

7/04 2004.5 rolled off the assemby line a month before yours lol.

Not sure what month that the 2004.5 changes began, I'm thinking Feb.
