OK, I just got confirmation on the first part of the prize. Redlines Goods has agreed to donate one of their 100% genuine leather shifter boots (in any color!) to the winner of the drawing. Below is a picture of one that has been installed on my car (very easy install). You can see more pictures/color selection, etc here: RedlineGoods.com

thanks Roger, I had been meaning to donate something, but you motivated me to follow through. Add another $10 to your contribution!

btw, Linkin Park donated $100,000 and set up a foundation with the red cross, but their contribution page just sends you to the red cross also.

Default American Red Cross

I donated!!!!!

I just sent $20.00 to the Relief Fund. Watched a horrible show on the aftermath last night on ABC. With the inevitable disease and destruction of services I would not doubt the toll will double again.

Count me out on the prize. There must be someone more worthy than myself. My selection of a license plate made me embarrassed to drive my car....

My wife and I gave what we could to Unicef, partly because I am disappointed with the American Red Cross after their 9/11 fiasco.

I thought it was very moving that <www.apple.com> changed their entire front page for this.

Default Prize drawing Part 2!

I just spoke with Nazar at www.wickedCAS.com and he has agreed to donate a $75 gift certificate to his shop! In addition he also donated some money to Red Cross. For anyone that doesn't know, Nazar's company (Wicked Car Audio Systems) designs and builds sub enclosures for the Z (see below), as well as sells many other items for the Z. Click on the picture to go to his website:

Last Sunday at church I donated a $100 bill to our "Rice Fund" which is being used to purchase rice and other goods to send to the victims... our Priest's brother and his wife were vacationing in Sri Lanka for their anniversary and still haven't been heard from... they need our prayers as much as they need our money...

Hmmm, so far I have 22 different posters so that means I'm up to $220 with just about a day left...

Come on people, if you're reading this and you haven't donated go ahead and do it now. Again, even $5 will help! I'm sure I must sound like Sally Struthers but I really don't care. This thread has had ~500 views and only 22 different posters!

OK, how about this angle. I've got a $20 (or maybe $25?) Sears Gift card someone gave me for Christmas sitting in my wallet that just became Prize #3. So now you can win A New Shifter Boot from Redline Goods, a $75 Gift Certificate toward Stereo equipment from Nazar, and a $20 Gift card from Sears! The odds right now are ~1:21 of winning!

BTW, just to make it easy so you don't have to go all the way back to page 1, I have listed the websites/charities that have been mentioned in this thread. Thanks to everyone that has participated so far.

LINKS

Glad to. I just wish I could go over and help. Here is another good charity and one that I think will play a big role in helping these people out over the long run. https://www.habitat.org/donation/gen...word=frontlink

I donated $25.00 to the christian childrens fund
I donated $25.00 to the american red cross
I donated $50.00 to International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

It truly breaks my heart to think of the children ripped from their parents arms. If it happened to MY child, I think I would crack. Can you just imagine what it's like there?

Another reason to donate. This is a chance to show those Fockers at the UN, and for the rest of the world for that matter ( HEAR ME FRANCE?) that Americans have the biggest hearts in the world. NOT the American GOVERNMENT. The AMERICAN PEOPLE. We have a chance to send a STRONG message to the rest of the world. Something NO TERRORIST can destroy. Good will toward men.

Donate for charity if you wish, but turning it into yet another expression of jingoism is unnecessary.
