Default Orange Peel / Nissan Corporate e-mail

I've decided to start a new thread for this... since this is unrealted to my previous posting (since it does not deal with the dealership, but rather NNA).

After talking to Michelle P. from Nissan North America, she said she would be willing to review some of the postings online regarding Orange Peel--since not alot of people are calling consumer affairs to complain.

Here is my e-mail sent to her...

Michelle:

Thank you for taking the time to discuss my concerns.

As discussed, here is the link to www.my350.com, the premier 350Z member website. This site is also mentioned and directly linked off of the "Nissan Driven" / "Shift_membership" website.

As of 10:40am on November 6, 2002, the MY350Z.COM forum currently has:

I truly feel that the Orange Peel issue is a much larger issue than what Nissan belives.

On my350z.com alone, there are over 93 Unique Threads discussing Orange Peel Issues on the 350Z. These 93 Unique Threads have currently have 1,686 a total of 1,686 replies and 72,857 views:

Here is one specific post that has some great high resolution photos of a Daytona Blue 350Z with extensive Orange Peel--similar to my Super Black 350Z:

Please view the post above for pictures, as I don't want to send these large files via e-mail.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

So Sammy, do you think that this is something that they are going to fix or not? I'd like it if they could get rid of the orange peel on my super black, but I doubt that they will. What impression did she give you?

Sammy,

Some battles are worth fighting, some aren't. Something tells me that your orange peel issue will not end satisfactorily for you.

Sammy my friend you are a man obsessed, who has let some minor thing ruin an amazing experiance with a great car. My car too has Orange Peel, so does the two brand new C34's that park next to be (more then my Z33 which has a lot) and the new Silver M3. I posted a thread detaling that almost every car I have seen has orange peel. No one that has seen my car while driving, or has been in my car has noticed it. The guy who detailed my car didn't notice it, only under certain lights, and when I told him to look for it. Bottom line, under 90% of viewing experiances, while driving, parked, or just hanging by the car, the Peel is Not noticable, only in a garage with the flor. lights and/or looking for it. I never knew what Orange peel was, and Never noticed it on my car or any car before until this forum, and for once ignorance truly was bliss. I have learned to not obssess about some things because you can always do it.
