Default 35th anniversary AT Z?!

um...
i was surfing around nissan web site and found out something weird about Z...
you know how you can compare cars with other cars...
and one of options were 35th anniversart AT 350z...
i was like WHAT?!
then i started to look for the difference...between touring and that...
but they had absolutely no difference...(size of the rims...were dif. 17 to 18)
i just felt that it was so...*blank*
price...?
arond 38G...
i dont see a point of getting it unless you want the rims(?) and the fact that it is the 350z for 35th anniversary(?)
any clarification?

according to an article in sport compact "the 35th anniversary Z will use a new "rev-up" version of the vq35de. According to sources inside Nissan, the enginge doesn't make anymore tq than the standard vq35de. The "rev-up" version actually gives up some low-end grunt in favor of high-end zing. Expect a 7k redline thanks to intake and engine management revisions.

OK heres the differences....the AT 35th has the unique 18s , brembos, aero package, 2 tone leather, but stick with the normal 287 hp and 6600rpm redline like all the other z's. It also has the rev match capapbility as do all the new 05 AT have
The 35th six speed MT has all of the above goodies including the new engine with 300hp and 7000rpm redline

It does not have a nismo exhaust

The 35th Anniversary Z®’s engine has been modified using revised pistons and camshaft and the addition of electronic exhaust valve timing control. The same engine will also be available as standard equipment on the 2005 350Z Track model (6MT only), which also goes on sale in early 2005.

My Z in manual mode revs to 6900. In auto shifts at 6600.

unless there is somthing wrong with ur car i doubt that....the z has a very aggressive rev limiter and the stock ecu would never let the car do that

I have a 5AT and I've been able to get it over 6200 easily but, like you said the rev limiter will cut my throttle shortly after that. I don't know if 6900 is possible but 6600 on an unlocked torque converter sounds possible.

Of course 6200 is possible and soo is the 6600rpm redline. If u floor the car in an auto of course thats wait it will shift at...but not 6900

I have 23000 miles on my Z and I know my car very well. Why would I lie about the 6900rpm limiter!? Thats what it revs to believe it or not!
