I just got to thinking today.......

I bought my '03 a couple months ago from a private seller. Do I have to do anything with Nissan itself to get the warranty switched over to me or did that happen automatically when I registered the car etc.?

 

its automatic, it starts the day the original owner purchased the car

 

i believe it transfers with ownership.

call up a nissan service department with your VIN # handy and ask them for the in service date so you can determine how much of the 3/36 and 5/60 are still in effect
