Unhappy I just LOVE the midwest!!!!!

So, we just had a winter storm.

12 inches or so...and distribution of snow plows seem to have been overlooked in my area.

Got stuck in my driveway for 30 minutes before some guy with a shovel starts to dig behind my rear wheels and SCRATCHES the rear bumper

At least i got a free dyno run in my driveway Never let my wheels spin like that...poor cars 25 feet away or so...they seemed to have gotten an additional 1" or so when i was spinning my tires.

Yup, we got 13" here too. Luckily I also have a Jeep Wrangler that just looooves the snow. The Z is safely tucked away in the garage, oblivious to the crap outside. It's always a funny contrast when both vehicles are next to each other. A filthy Jeep and an always-spotless Z that never sees rain or snow. I think they get along though, despite their differences.

Suppose to start snowing in Seattle but it's only gonna be for a little while. Rain.... you can count on it, snow.... not too much .

Cool

We only got 9 inches here in Southern Wisconsin, but the Z does not do well in ice and snow. I was a bit suprised but just moving it from garage to garage was a problem. I don't drive the car in the winter but moved it to install new wheel bearing on the snowmobile trailor and was suprised at how prooly it did on the snow and ice in my driveway.

My Z isn't bad on ice, it's unusable. It hailed like no tomorrow last night, and that froze into half an inch of ice here in fort wayne. My car needed 4 of my friends pushing for it to even move in my neighborhood.

Same here man, except I have a Grand Cherokee (5.9 litre at that) and it's filthy next to my clean blue Z. I actually took her out last weekend because we had a "brief" warm period and the roads were mostly dry. It sure is a big change going back and forth between a 4x4 and the Z!

MRfire,

Isn't it great to have a vehicle for any weather? I bet your G.C. sucks the gas! That's a big ole engine in there.

Wellllllll, now that I think of it, the Wrangler only gets about 19mph, so you may not have made a bad choice afterall.

Yeah, I love the midwest too.

I love it so much that I return to west Michigan every April after spending the winter in Naples, Fl.

'Guess I forgot what snow was like.

i live in chicago.. that snowstorm was ****ing crazy! the streets were totally unplowed. it took me an hour to get my car out of my work's parking lot, and as soon as i got on the main street, i got stuck. it was a scary experience, and will be the last time my z ever sees snow! driving the z when it is snowing just is not safe!

The last time I saw snow was as I was giving a storm on my rear bumper the finger leaving Michigan for Cali in January, 1972.

The next time I see it, it will be too soon! LOL!

In case you did not know.......to have successfully outrun the storm (in order to prevent any rain/snow/sleet or any other such nasties from touching your finish) qualifies you for the title of "Road god".........

LOL!!

I don't know about that, but I did seem to leave at just the right time to avoid the storm catching up with me!

Though, by that time, my Cougar had been snowed/iced on/sleeted on numerous times.

I had been a truck driver for 7 years in Detroit in the 60s; Lord, I hated snow/ice!
