you mean e36? e34 was the 5 series.
i've owned an e46 and an e36 m3 and i do miss them....

Not sure why. The STI and EVO are faster than the M3 and 350z. And by faster, I mean autocross, 0-60 mph times, and the handling is better (mostly due to AWD). The 350z and M3 are GT cruisers, they will have a better top speed and torque than the ricers.
