Default Glad to see the Bose Problem in Print

For those of you that have not read the Car and Driver Comparo, it refers to the horrible sounding Bose that we have all been complaining about. I was surprised that none of the initial reviews of the Z ever made note of it. Seems like it is a larger problem than the nav door being delicate. I know the Service bulletin is out. My dealer claims that he made some calls, and the part is not available for the midwest yet? This makes no sense to me. But he says it should not be long till he can order the new amp for me.

Your dealer's comment is the typical bull verbage. It's not like the replacement amp is coming from an NNA regional parts warehouse. It's ordered direct from Bose and I'm sure they don't care were you're located.

Actually, it's ordered directly fro CLARION. The TSB has clarion's 800 number.

I dropped my car off this morning to have the replacement amp put in. They have called back to say it's ready. I'll post on the result.

THE TSB???? Does anyone have knowledge of a TSB number to reference? Audiopat mentioned one was in draft, but I have NOT seen the TSB. I am having issues with my dealer also, who said he can't find a tsb on the subject.

This is not an automatic blanket recall - you must contact the dealer or NNA to get the ball rolling so don't just wait if you have a defective amp.
