BOSE Cd player cutting out on CDs
I've been having a problem with my 2003 that I bought used in September. The problem most occurs when I first start the car in the morning. When I play a CD the CD player will "cut out" almost every two or three seconds. Imagine someone hitting a mute button every three seconds, holding for three and then letting go and thats what its like. The problem seems to get better when the car warrms up (10 minutes), but by then I'm usually at work anyway. My question is, is this a common problem, or am I alone here? If you had the same problem, did you take it in to be fixed, or is there a solution i can do? Any input is appreciated. Thanks
You're not alone. I have the same problem. Someone on the board has suggested that it was the condensation on the CD or if its cold. Not sure if this is an accurate assessment but not really sure what causes this.
My first one did that and I took it back to the dealer to get replaced. My second one started doing it, so I just something else all together. For some reason when it's cold or if your car's a few days this happens.

Funny, I have a similar problem with my Bose cassette player. I have the Monster iPod cassette adapter and the darn thing cuts out every few seconds until the car is warmed up!!! What's up with that? It seems to be "autoreversing" and when it does that, it cuts off the iPod.
If anyone knows an excellent FM wireless transmitter for the iPod, please let me know.
