Center dash
Hey
I have the base model, which the little storage dash compartment’s door doesn’t slide into its self when it opens, it just stays outside the dash…
I have been trying to find where i can find the other version of it, which slides inside itself...
Could anyone point me in the direction of where i can find one of these?
OR ...
If anyone has installed an LCD screen on mytype of compartment, could you tell me which LCD screen you used?
Thanks alot!

You must have an 04 or 05, I had the same cubby box. In order to get the NAV door that slides back you have to get the 03 cubby box. The only bad part is that it doesn't quite match the 04 dash color, but it's not that noticable. I bought mine from Performance Nissan for about $86 for everything needed.

As for the screen, I put a Farenheit 7000 in mine, fits absolutly PERFECT. Almost everybody uses this screen or the Farenheit 7001, the only difference is the number of input/outputs.
This is the place I ordered mine from:

Best price I have seen, fast shipping and they also have the 7001 if you wanted to get that one.

I think I have seen one person put a screen in the 04 box but it wasn't as big of a screen and didn't look as good. If you just spend another $85 you can get alot cleaner factory look. It's really simple to install once you get the 03 NAV door.

You need these parts:
http://www.performancenissanparts.co...roducts_id=633
http://www.performancenissanparts.co...roducts_id=632
This is for the 03 cubby box conversion that tucks back into itself. All you need to do when you get the cubby box is take out the four screws from the back and take out the box itself and replace it with the screen. It's hard to explain but once you get the part you will see exactly what I am talking about.
I think the NAV door you are thinking of comes in the 04 w/NAV. It is an electrically powered door as oppsed to the 03 spring loaded type.

I would stay away from any touchscreen that uses a stylus, like the one in the picture. No one will want to pick it up everytime to tocuh the screen.
You need one that will work with the touch of your finger.
I think they call that an active vs passive matrix.
