Default CUT out REAR cross Brace??

just wanted to get some opinion on the functionality/ evectivness of a major non power mod,

what if: the rear cross brace was cut out at the sides and a more standard removable typewas made to fit in its place??

would there be much less support?

would the missing support be a good trade off for the Greatly expended utility and slightly less weight??

am i gonna self ignite in flames here..?

dont due that!!! the strut brace is part of the unibody duing so would lead to probably horrible handling.... and weight balance, suspension.. .everything would probably get eefed up

as cool as the rear strut brace looks...i too wish it wasn't there. it absolutely kills the storage space (or the ability to put a sub bigger than 10 inches without losing all the trunk space) that the Z could have. it seems to be a pretty integral part of the car though so i dont think it would be a good idea to cut it out.

What he said...cutting out that strut brace is asking for trouble in a big way.
