All this paranoia about getting your Z stolen is unwarranted. True any car can be stolen when the thief is determined but to get a 350 Z it will take the thief a lot of effort. I have yet to hear of Z being stolen where the thief makes entry into a locked car and then starts it without a key and drives off. Most thefts are of the suspicious circumstances type where the thief knew the owner and got access to his/her keys or the car was towed away.

Supposedly, the purpose of VIN etching on all your windows is that if a thief steals your car, if they want to go through the trouble of selling your car, they'd have to not only alter the VIN plate, they'd have to replace all the windows too which is more of an expense for them.

I guess it'd make more sense for a 4 door car, wagon or van/minivan.
