Default Anyone go to Detroit?

I just got back from NAIAS and had a question. In Nissan's display they had what appeared to be a 35th anniversary Z. It was ultra yellow with the charcoal leather interior. It had the correct wheels too. What threw me was that the engine bay of the car was daytona blue and there were no special 35ae badges. Maybe badges aren't part of the package, but it seemed odd that the car was aparently repainted. Was this a pre-production show vehicle and not a true 35th anniversary? Do all of the ultra yellow's have a different color chassis? It all seems kind of strange...

It was at the North American International Auto Show in Detriot. I am guessing that they probably just dressed up a standard touring model with the paint, seats, and wheels from the aniversary package. Now that I think about it, the door over the nav screen retracted like the 2003 models too. I can't remember if the motorized door from the 2004 retracts back or if it just pops out like the 2004 non nav. door. Either way the car was kind of suspect...

Sh*t, I never bothered to pop the hood!

That's weird.....It definitely looked like factory paint though!

Just came back from NAIAS. Hm, the yellow Z I saw looked anniv but the specs said 287hp/274tq. So, either the specs were wrong, or the model was not anniv.

I'll soon be posting my pics of the show online... there'll be a thread on that...
