5 ~ 6 lbs. difference, however, the diameters are different. I wouldn't expect huge gains on 1/4 mile runs, but you'll see a difference in handling, since the 18" are wider.

Good posts too on gains from reducing rotating mass vs. just dropping a few lbs. from chunking the spare.
Got the Nismo lightweight flywheel on, plus the Rays rims that come on the Track, and a set of Goodyear F1GSD3's coming (front's are on perpetual backorder) which according to The Tire Rack will save another 10 lbs. of rotating mass over the OEM Potenza's.
DIE, rotating mass . . . DIE !!!

Coming from a long history of drag racing, unsprung weight yields much more advantage than sprung weight. 40 lbs difference from the wheels is good for a .2 off your ET.. When I would run skinnies on my front with my Mustang, I would consistantly run .2 to .3 faster in the quarter mile..

Talking about the skinnies: No doubt on the rotating mass weight loss. You may also had some slightly better aerodynamics happenin' too that might have helped out a little, specially if your "fatties" stuck out from the front fender wells.
When you say 40 lbs. in reference to my situation, are you thinking I meant 10 lbs. per wheel? I meant 2.5 lbs per wheel for a total of 10, but hereagain it's rotating mass so hey I'm happy!
