yet another Z owner in AZ. I've seen about 3 others so far in the last month since I got mine.

They're coming out of the woodwork....

LeMans Sunset kicks a$$! Love the color. But I like my DB too!

 

I didn't, I got Blue! However, I finally saw my first Z, other than mine, on the road yesterday and what was it...silver! Imagine that.....

 

Well it seems like maybe a lot of people chose silver because it looked soooo awesome @ the auto shows last year (when Nissan unveiled the current design). In any case... I got black
But silver does look awesome... esp @ night.

 

admirable.. I don't know where you got that shot ... but you have unbelievable talent to find anything. Great job !!!

I don't like black wheels... silver -- ... but the body looks great...

man-oh-man... 18 inch Nismo or go for the 19 inch TE-37's ??

Oh well... given my delivery date.. plenty of time to think about it.

 

I must admit I'm a bit torn as I love the SS but after seeing a picture of a recent Dallas event, I might try to do something a bit different. I think every car except for one was CS or SS.

 

The Silverstone & Chrome are classic, boring, conservative, and numerous!! I have the blue and its the best color to me

 

Thats why I went waaaay to the left with the Brickyard, won't see as many of those.. Especially with the DUBBS..

 

Hey, 1bad350Z. Welcome to the Forum. Yeah, there's a lot of CS and SS out there. But there's a reason: they look really good.

P.S. - Your blue one will look great, too. Blue's the only color I've driven, but decided on CS.

Not sure why, but chicks dig silver. It might remind them of rich old silver haired men. ( is your hair silver?) Silver also looks good even when dirty.

That was my chicks opinion.

 

Okay - my two cents:

I went with the SS color for two reasons, one because of colors I've already owned/car color of a friends car and two because of a stand out feature of the 350Z.

1) I've owned blue and black cars and they were a real pain to keep clean. Right after a wash and wax they look sharp, but dang...these colors get dirty quickly. A good friend owned a silver 280Z and that car "hid" the dirt fairly well between washes.

2) A cool feature of the 350 are the chrome/aluminum metal door handles. It struck me while looking at the color combos at the Nissan website (and at pics while ordering) that these handles blend in nicely with the silver colored cars. They stand out just enough but don't clash with the color of the car. On the darker colored cars, the handles seem to be almost too noticeable and my eyes are drawn to the handles more than the overall lines of the car. Again, I like the handles but they shouldn't overpower the whole look of the car!

Of course, this is just my opinion and preference but explains why I ended up going with Silverstone instead of the Daytona Blue or the Super Black (which were my 3rd and 4th choices behind SS and CS).

There is a Z group that meets at the Nissan dealership @ 70 st. and McDowell on the first Wed. of ea. month @ 7pm. Have you been over there yet? Be great to have a few 350's show up. I plan on going to the next one even tho I live way west by Luke AFB. Jim
