Default Manual vs Auto % of sales ???

Asked this on another forum, figured I post it here also. The question is not which is better, or which is more fun to drive. The question is what it is. Do we know how many manuals vs autos Nissan has sold since model year 03? Just curious due to the fact (I read some where a while back) that 50 to 60 % of Vette sales are autos. When I see a Z parked in a parking lot I have a tendency to go over a take a peek inside. I know, that might seem kind of strange. Anyway, most of the time I see autos when I take a peek which lead me to ask this question.

most roadsters i see are auto's around here. Mainly because they're driven by older housewives in this area. Most of the coupes i've see are manuals and are driven by younger people.

If it is based at all on what dealers have on the lot, then I would say 75% automatics and 25% manuals. Although the 7 or so 350Zs I know locally all have manuals.

Back in 2003, when I got mine, the dealer told me it was 60% auto 40% manual.

Could be just BS, but there were more autos on his lot too.

On this board, though, it seems about 80% of us have manual

Back when Nissan started selling the 350Z in 2003 they said it would be 70% man and 30% auto. I think it looks more like 60-40 now 3 years later.
