Angry Just talked to dealer....

Ok this really chaps my ***...

Quote on Touring Z Auto - 30,200

Quote on Touring Z Manutal - 31,800

Is there a specific reason why i should pay more for a manual transmission?

Do they just make more automatics?

The 6 speed manual is a $1,600 option on the Touring whereas the 5 speed automatic is a $1,000 option on the Enthusiast. Have you visited:

The bottom line is that the Touring is for old people who want leather and an automatic whereas the Enthusiast is for just that, Enthusiasts, who would never consider an automatic. Those are general terms obviously, but to make it short and sweet, yes they make way more automatic Tourings which is why the 6 speed costs more.

Hmmm, this is the only car I've ever seen that charges more for MT. AT is usually the "option" in most cases. Odd.

Actually, I think the manual transmission is the 'option' on many sports cars. They know that's what people will want, so it's an easy way to make money by making it the option and not the standard. Sorry about the chapped @$$!

No no no. The extra cost has nothing to do with the Manual vs Automatic - an automatic trans cost more than a manual.

It has to do with the other stuff you get when you get a manual vs. the auto. I.E., TPS, 18" wheels, VDC....
