and that's with just 350 crank hp

the guys putting down 450whp would be around like 520-540 or so crank hp so we'd hope they'd get even better times

Toyo is a tire maker.
Yes you can spin your tires but you may want to take traction control off first Even a V-6 Mustang can spin its tires

Automatic Zs get less power to the wheels so I wouldnt count on it and launching an auto effectively with require manipulation of the brakes/gas pedal.
Thanks for your help...but no need to get pissed. I didn't mean to make it sound like I only care about 0-60, I just saw the thread and had some questions regarding the thread topic--which is 0-60. Chilllll homaaaaaay.

At least we got some numbers, and that is not even with slicks or drag radilas, just with nittos. That seems great.

Is this possible on the Z without getting too much toe in? My contact patch on the rear tires looks like I am only getting good contact on about 60% of the rear tire and the car is not lowered. PM me please!

In cool weather my Beltimer tells me 5.1-5.3sec 0-60. With FI under 5sec would be easy.

With that article posting of the Noble, seeing that it can run an 11.8 in the 1/4 mile and its 0-60 was 3.3sec, some of the guys in the low 12s in the 1/4 mile should be getting to 60mph in the sub 4 sec. range maybe high 3 sec depending on how fast it takes for their turbos to spool. although for the 0-60mph Im assuming the SC cars are getting there quicker since their power is all throughout the power band.

It's light because it's missing a lot of safety equipment.

Anyone considered launching the Z in 2nd? With as much as 400whp, it would be gear better suited for optimal traction. Not to mention you're saving 0.5s with no shift. Vipers, new Z06 vette, run first gear to 60.

I was always curious about this also. I'm getting 370whp but can't put it on the groung properly. I think with the SC the Z is off balanced.
