Default Vote for the Z!!

USA Today is doing an online poll of which new car you are most excited by, and for some bizarre reason, the Z is dead last! I understand why it might be behind the new Thunderbird because of nostalgia, but to be behind the Mercury Marauder (UGLY!) and the Pontiac GTO (BORING!) is pathetic.

Get out and vote! Vote early, vote often.

That's probably because nobody knows what it is yet. I mean, there have been basically no TV shows, no ads, no mag spreads. Just wait until after the embargo. The Z will shoot up the charts. Anytime I tell anybody about what I'm buying, they STILL have no idea what it is.

Default Yeah, but...

I haven't heard jack squat about the Mercury Marauder or the Pontaic GTO coming back. Not that I would have cared--looking at those two cars I can't imagine why I would want to buy either.

Now the T-Bird, that is gorgeous, and I would expect it to win. But it is aiming for a different demographic than the Z. And somehow it is behind the Marauder too! How can that be?

Default GTO

Yeah, it just looks like any other Pontiac, except maybe for the front grill. There was a shot of it over at USA Today that was just really dull.

Yeah, it looks pretty much like a Pontiac Grand Prix to me. They could've done much better. Now the original GTO... that is a kick *** car! Why couldn't they pull some styling queues from there like Chevy plans to do with the 2005 Camaro?? And people wonder why there are so many imports running around now.

Default Vote for the Z in USA Today

I apologize if this has already been posted. There is a poll in USA Today online that includes the 350 Z. How about we get our car another 500 or so votes from our "viewership" here!

Vote For the Z Here

Here is the pic of the cars up for the vote. I'm sorry, but I can't see the appeal of that T-Bird. IMO is is simply UGLY! BUT........I wonder if it comes in Brickyard...............HHMMMMMMM?

Ya know, I just noticed, this is one of those polls that doesn't seem to limit you to one vote per person. I guess it won't be a really valid poll then. Now, I'm not saying any of us should, say, sit there all day at their computer and vote over and over and over again. But if anyone has any spare time..........How bout it Scaf? Are you tired of creeping around with your camera yet?

IT LOOKS LIKE A CAVALIER!!!

The T-Bird is horrible and the Marauder is sooooooo slow for all of its motor! I hope Ford burns big time with those two offerings. Now the Holden with the LS-1 on the other hand....

I'll vote Z!

That's so true. I was reading the C&D article and was amazed that a car with a supercharged V8, 300+hp can't even break into the 6 seconds mark. What a flop.

OK, well we all agree, but not many people are voting. The Z's only got 22% of the vote compared to the T-bird's 36%. Come on people, vote! Only takes a second.
