Default *is My Z Messed Up Or What???

Hey all. I'm pretty new to posting, but have read just about everything on here. I'm looking for some help. I have an 03 SB Touring 6MT. LOve the car but....
I had the tranny replaced under warranty @ 17k miles...gear grind. Now have 19k miles. They also replaced the clutch assembly under warranty. When it first got replaced it was like driving a new car. When you shifted, you could feel every gear hard, slammed you back in your seat and pulled hard accelerating. Now, it seems like the gears are all "mushy" if that makes sense. It's kind of like the car just goes into gear TOO smoothly and you don't "feel" the gears. It isn't pulling like it used to. I also hear a buzzing from within the dash on hard accelerating. Man, the car used to scare me and anyone who was in it under WOT. I don't know if I'm just getting 'Used" to it or if there is a problem. My daily driver is a 95 corolla, so I don't see me just getting used to the Z as the Crapolla is pushing a whopping 105 horsepower. The car just doesn't seem to pull, feels real sloppy, etc. anyone have any input?? Am i Paranoid? I also noticed some oil on the engine caked on with some sludge under the block. No oil on the ground. Bad tranny? Bad clutch? Bad cylinder? Compression? All in my head? Thanks!!!!

the tranny broke in. it has loosen up a bit. same with engine. take a brand new motor and dyno it. you will see lower HP numbers than you would see on a motor just broken in. same applys for a car with 3k miles on it VS 25k miles on it. not to say that the more mileage the better. it will reach a certain point of "settling" and then stop. from that point on it wont get any better performance wise.

btw: your paranoid, but dont worry i do the same thing!!!!!

The more I get used to the car, the less power I think it has. It's just such a WOW initially but you get used to it. I don't think you're actually losing any power or anything.

same thing applys to listening to music.

Initially plays loud music will be loud to your ears. if you listen to it for a period of time, you will become used to that level of sound and consider anything below or equal to be too little. thats when you turn it up again. then the process starts all over again.
