I know the label on the door panel recommends 35psi for the tires, but will it do any harm to keep them at 32psi?

The less psi you go with, the less your mpg will be, but more traction. Also depends if you have the stock tires or aftermarket. I got aftermarket rims/tires, 245 in front 275 in rear. Those are the same dimensions as on corvette stock tires so they are W-I-D-E. I have more rubber on the asphalt, so I bumped up the psi to 40 in front 45 in rear, but look on the tire sidewall what it says the max psi for the tire is. My tires say max is 45 in front 50 in rear. After the psi adjustment I am getting 23-24 mpg in city driving as opposed to 18-20 mpg I used to get with Nissan recommended psi and stock 18" wheels. Also take into consideration driving conditions, track or road use etc.

I have stock 18" Protenzas. The car is '04.5 with the new thread design on the front tires. What I was wondering is if the lower tire pressure would effect the wear on the tires?

I'd think if lower pressure increased traction & rolling resistance, it'd increase wear too...
