I almost got in a major accident
Ok so I had my Z for 4 days and I'm driving home down Ocean Blvd in Long Beach. I'm in the number one lane with 2 left turn lanes to the left of me and this guy in a white Cavalier is to the right of me. As we are cruising down the street coming up on the intersection the Cavalier suddenly makes a sharp left infront of me, like he is trying to bust an illegal left from the far right lane. To avoid being hit by his sorry *** I swerve left and find myself facing oncoming traffic and quickly swerve to the right around the Cavalier. I have to say the if my car had less torque I would have been either hit head on are hit by the Cavalier. The maneuver I made was like a very tight chicane and the Z handled beutifully and only revved up to about 4500.
Anyways I followed the guy for 3 miles and we wouldn't even look at me... finally at a stop light I honk and yell at the guy. He seemed oblivious to what he did but apoligized. In my younger days I would have pulled him out of his car and beat him to a pulp.

Nice move. Sounds like you were down by the number 1 turn in the LB Grand Prix ( it will always be the GP to me since I went twice as a pup when it was a real race). Seriously, be careful the first month. This car is unreal and people do weird things when you are near. Get comfortable with her because she has powers.
I had a close call also............I have to drive this Z sometimes like an SUV..........because of the boneheads out there.......been in the Autobody shop once in 3 months............be safe Z friends.
I had just made a turn off of the LI Expressway service road. There was an 18 wheeler to my right making the same turn. He suddenly decides to cut into my lane so he could get back onto the Expressway. Talk about your life flashing before your eyes. I wonder if I could have slid under the trailer portion like in some of the movies?
I was able to slam on the breaks and go around the jamok. He had no clue I was even there.

I guess it's a testament to karma but it seems that many bad drivers are stuck in Cavaliers. I was turning left in the right hand turn lane and a Cav was in the left hand turn lane. As we get near the end of the turn he starts moving over into my lane because he wants to turn right not too far ahead. The Z braked on a dime and the horn sounded so nice when I blasted him. I think that's the first time I've used the horn.
Wow, the same thing happened to me on my third day of driving, and it was only a few miles inland from there. (Cerritos I think.)
There were 2 left turn lanes onto a two lane road, I was in #2 and some *** in the right turn lane (#3) decided to sandwitch me in. I had cars coming at me on both sides with a truck on the left, and nowhere to go in front, and not much room in back either, so I had to slow down and find a place behind them. Made it out ok.
