Yea, I'd guess that if the engine has adjusted correctly and you're getting less power, then your overall energy losses are smaller as well. This means more energy (ratio of used to lost) is actually being used to move the car....just my guess.

I'm impressed that the Z can adjust to the early detonation, but why would you spend 30k+ on a car only to try to skimp out on the gas and not have it perform at it's peak?

Peope complain so much about the prices of gas and they'll drive all over town to save a few cents...how much more does premium cost? 10-15 cents a gallon?....that's a whole $2 or $3 a fill up! NOOOOOOOO!!!
