Default $1995 Market Adjustment?

Local dealer had 2 grand added to every Z on the lot over sticker, for a "Marketing Adjustment". They said for an 04 model, they could knock off the 2 grand (how nice of them) and maybe even a little off the sticker.

I told them they were crazy, and left.

I'm a wrong?

On an 04, you should pay invoice at the very most. I got my 05 a few hundred over.

Then go to a real dealer.

If you can't find a good price in Va. Beach, give Passport in Alexandria, Va., a call (703-823-9000). Sales manager is Larry Stepp. It's just 200 miles away, and they're selling 2005 roadsters for $100 over invoice, so I imagine you can get a great deal on a coupe.

My '05 Track should cost about $500 over invoice, or around $32813.

Shop around.

the z is not in that much demand to pay anything over sticker, and dealers who do that should be avoided.

You should post the dealer and their email!

That's f'in bs!!! The Nissan dealership here in Harrisonburg has 3 '04 Z's (1 Redline performance 6M, 1 Silverstone enthusiast 5A, and 1 Silver enthusiast 6M) all I think with the $2500 or $3500 rebate and I know they'd work out a sweet deal with you otherwise. Just come up here, ask for John, the General Manager, and tell him Romeo with the black 350z sent you.

peace

You sure? I may be wrong, but I dont think you can get a Track 05 for $32,813. Is that a typo or did you find a cool dealer that likes to lose money on every sale? hahah. BEN

They had a sticker with a $1000 "Market Adjustment" on my 35th. I walked in and just told them I wanted the car but wasn't paying that, and they agreed. I'd find another dealer regardless, at least mine readily agreed the $1000 was not realistic. I can't blame them for trying since it was supposedly "the only 35th we'll ever get" according to the finance manager.

Nope, no lie. The car w/ floor mats, trunk mats, and kick plates was $32313 and +$500 coming to $32813. This does not include tax, tags, and license though.

You should've started laughing hysterically, then be like, "Man, you guys are priceless. But seriously, I'll give you $2k under MSRP for it."

Never pay "market adjustment". You can always adjust the market by spreading the news that the dealer is being unreasonable. See how quickly they "adjust" it back to MSRP at most.

My limit on how much I pay for a car is $1000 over invoice... Which is usally $2000 under MRSP (fair price in my opinion)... If they won't atleast sell it to me for that price I walk....
