Hey just checking in from VQ35 maxima land I was wondering what the fastest 350Z all motor(IE, no NOS, SC etc.) 1/4 mile time? I'm not sure but my 2002 maxima might have the fastest all motor VQ35 time Time slip available if requested, I did a 13.883 @ 100.96 MPH on my stock 17's(best trap is 101.67 MPH). Let me know what you guys are doing for times..

 

not many mods available yet and plus people dun wanna mod until real dynos are proven. but i have seen one person hit 13.8@102.x mph when he went to the track after break-in...

edit..: ok i remeber now, i think raceboy did a g-tech run and he came up with a 13.71 at 107mph. remember tho, gtech run takes the top speed of its run, not like the drag strips...

 

Let's exclude G-tech runs please I have some pretty crazy times form my G-tech, hehe.

Looks like "webcarconnection" did a 13.8 @ 103 MPH with a very nice 2.0 60'. My problem is this damn FWD, if I could manage a 2.0 60 foot I would be running 13.4's.. Hopefully my new polyurethane motor mounts will keep some of this awful wheel hopage at bay, lol..

 

I did a 13.90 with a 2.2 60', If I let out more air I could of inproved that but ran out of time. I expect with a couple of more runs I could inprove that by a 1/10 or 2. By the way, I have a base model with the JWT pop and heat shield and I removed the pre-silencer....

Not exactly. The hood would not close with the manifold on. So I would need to have a custom hood made to get it to really work.

look at you getting around the nissan boards. dont worry, your max wont hold up to the Z for long. (you gotta mention you took seats out of your car too).

i'll be going to the meets next year with my soon to come Z.

 

How many miles you have in the Maxima?

I remember before the Z came out, I wanted to experience the 3.5L engine of the Maxima.

My friend's mom had an auto, and he shifted in that thing. I remember getting soo much whiplash from that car.... and it made me thought about the Z.

On the day my dad pre-ordered the car, he and I went for a test drive in the Maxima. Thanks to that car, my dad made his final decision to get the Z.

 

Last race of the year is going on Sunday here. Hope to have the "title" then. Will post timeslips and results.

 

Hey dude, I did a 13.9 with my 18's, full interior, spare, 30 lb stereo and a 1/2 tank of gas. That was with a crumy 2.24 60'. While the Z will definatly be the better performer I think I can fend for my self. With a 2.1 60' I will be running 13.6 or better, after some more mods I expect 13.5's @ 103 MPH, NA(no slicks either). While I'm sure there will be some Z's out there that can beat me I supsect there will be very few "NA" ones


djtonium, my max just hit 20 K miles yesterday. My transmission is falling apart. Other then that I snapped my cable shifter tranny bracket.
