Tire Shop Gouged My Rims..Help
Last Friday I took my baby in to put her winter boots on. I spent a cool $1000 I washed my car today, and what did I find under the grease and brake dust?.............Inch long scrapes on both front rims near the lip. One rim has the clear coat and silver finish sort of crushed. The other is down to the metal. Will this rust, and totally screw up my rims after the salt gets it? The rears are ok...I guess after scraping the first two, they figured out how to get the tire off. AAAARRGH!!!!
So what should I do now?
1. Show them the damage and ask politely for 2 new rims?
2. Go in there furious, and demand new rims?
3. Have them agree in writing to sell me 18"x 10" rims and tires at their cost next summer. Then use the stock rims for the winters?
4. Just forget about it because the car won't stay perfect forever anyway?
5. None of the above
Thanks

they screwed up the winter tires? go in there, be nice to start, and request 2 new rims. get progressivly meaner if they dont do it. give them one shot with you being nice, otherwise crack heads.

Was this a chain like NTB or a local shop?
Check your receipt and make sure they have some sort of disclaimer saying they're not liable for their own stupidity. If not, then show back up very reasonable and explain politely what happened. If they don't replace your rims, you may want to mention the BBB or your local news station
