Default Question about Test Piping and Laws..

I just got some test pipes in the other day they are non-resonated ... and I also live in stupid conservative virginia.. I know the fines are up there like 2k if you get caught, BUT.. how would you get caught in the first place? I mean.. i guess if the cop was right behind me driving and is able to smell all that gas that would be one way but the chances of that are pretty slim..

True unless Virginia has emissions testing. Pennsylvania has it.

Cop's might get pissed with the non-res pipes!! Love that sound!!

Once had a Audi S4 fly by me in OHIO. I could tell just by the sound!!!

What kind of test do they do? In Texas to test emissions all they do is hook your car to a computer. If you have no SES light you will pass with flying colors. That is what the mil eliminators are for if you do happen to get a light when you install your test pipes.

Try gettin tested every year like in NY. You get hooked up on dyno, sniffer, the whole nine..... sucks.

Pa is all f'd up. There are 4 different ways (different regions) its handled across the state. 1) They don't check at all 2) Plug into OBD and check for CEL 3) Visual check to see that the cats are there 4) Sniffer test
