Yes. QX1 is the paint code for Pikes Peak White.

Funny thing about the ppw(qx1) on the dupont paint guide it will turn out way to yellow to match your car. I had my kit painted off the qx1 dupont paint code and when I went for the install it did not match. It took me leaving my gas cap for them to have a better chance to match my paint. Took a couple trys but doing the job right was a priority.

Dupont is fine it is the color that was the issue. Color and Quality are two different things. Even a cheap paint could actually match if done right. Besides ever seen the chips that the OE nissan paint takes? Ive seen White Out that is stonger.

buying Dupont was your first mistake...if you want it to match buy PPG. Kidding aside.....that's a 3 stage color. They are much harder to match. Depending on how many coats of the mid-stage paint you apply it will change the color.

( I run a PPG store.)

Dupont is not so terrible. But all that aside since Nissan paints its body parts in seperate stages and Paint does show up different depending on the surface even OE PPW does not match panel to panel. I mean the best you can do is try to match and it took about a good month for me to finally get what I wanted. That 3 stage paint is so hard to match if God forbid I ever wreck Im painting the damn thing midnight blue!

I was only kidding about the Dupont...lol...I have a biased opinion towards PPG. Yes, 3 stages are horrible. The best way to try and match a 3- stage is to do a "let down test panel" . Spray the base over the whole panel and then stripe off different sections labeling each, 1- with 1 coat of mid-coat, another one with 2- coats of mid-coat, another with 3- coats of mid-coat..etc. then match it up against the car to see how many coats it takes to match it. Pearl whites are hard to match...but it's a great color.

I couldn't agree more with the F it attitude and just paint it another color. My other car ia a Melina Blue Cougar and 6 months after someone decided to hit my car in the parking lot I'm still having problems with the body shop and paint matching. God forbid I would have to go through it again just because I love my Pearl White Z.
