i think my Z is dying...
i've had my z for a little over a year, and there's about 15,000 miles on it... most of the time, it is driven cautiously, rarely mashed on... but anyways.. here's the problems:
1) every time i pop in the clutch, there is a jingling comming from the rear... (loose washer???)
2) when i reach higher speeds (70-80mph), there is a whinning noise comming from the engine... i've heard it has something to do with the gearbox bearing??
3) when i make tight turns, my car almost always slips.... (i'm really not driving THAT fast... )
4) gearbox grinds at 2nd and 3rd
ummm... i think that's it for now... thanks!

during cold starts (when the engine hasn't been warmed up yet), when i pull the shifter into 2nd from first, it makes a medium loud noise, like a clunk, however, when its warmed up, it doesnt happen. when it idles, mine also makes a jingling noise. a member of my z club had the problem and it is the clutch throw out bearing. im not sure about your turning problem though. does anyone else have the problem where from 30-4x mph, when in 6th gear, if your going a constant speed and then jab the gas a little, you hear a quick squealing noise? I plan on taking my car to the dealership this coming up week. good luck with getting it fixed.
