My 2005 6-speed Z has 300 miles right now. When I'm in 4th, 5th, or 6th gear (I haven't tried the other gears), if I hit the gas fairly quick, 1/2 throttle, there seems to be a quick, abrupt jerk coming from the rear. It almost seems as if there is gap between the gears in the rear axel causing an impact as they mesh together.

Does anyone have the same issue? Thanks in advance.

 

Next time it does that downshift a gear and try again.

 

I haven't ever experienced that in my '03 with 6 speed. My driveline feels pretty tight.

 

All the sticks i've driven do that... a little shocky when you hit the throtle fast... so i guess it is normal...
