wow.. now I have to go check again...
I have put in four tanks now.. getting from 22.9 to 23.8ish...
But I forgot to see how much I am putting in at the time.. tomorrow I will check when I fill it up. 1345 miles now. I do know that I get great mileage when i shift at lower than 2000 rpm or at 2000 rpm... but.. I do this for the first 100 miles into the gas tank then I get a wild hair and romp on it and race all over the place blowing my ave mileage!
I love this car.. I do need a strap like they use to ride bulls to keep my hands on the wheel when I am jumping on it... always feels like I am hanging on for dear life... LOL
fun fun fun.. and... it gets more beautiful every day!

wha??? 106mph and you got 26? youd have to be running around 4000RPMs to hit that speed, maybe higher. couldnt imagine getting that kind of gas mileage.
anyway, under normal driving(which in the Z might be considered aggressive) I get 21mpg now, during break in I was lucky to have 18. and I havent reset the comp in 2 tanks, so it might be even higher now. also my tire pressure is a tad under 30 cold.

I voted 18-20 because you didn't put any lower in. I have 5500 Miles now and have never got more than 19MPG by Computer. But 3 Speeding tickets later my foot is still very heavy and will race @ the drop of a hat (or a good breeze or because the sun came out...You get the jist..) On ave. I get 15 to 17.

On my last drive 400 miles cross country (including 4 mountain passes) I ended up with 31.4 mpg. I drove nicely, enjoying some spirited driving over the mountains and holding decent around 80 on the straight roads.
Over all on longer drives I have been getting around 28mpg.
For my city driving I have been averaging about 19 to 20mpg.
I have noticed that I have been getting better gas miliage since break in has been over by about 1 to 2 mpg. (I did follow break in procedures)

I took my car for a 300 mile trip, 50% highway, 50% back roads 25-45 MPH... Highway I drove between 65-80 MPH averaging 27MPG.. Back roads I averaged 23-25.. I started the trip with 101 miles on it.. I had times where I gave it some good gas up to 4000 and a time where I was bounciing between 80-100 MPH in 6th.. I ended my 300 miles trip averaging 44 MPH and 25.8 MPG in 6 hours elapsed.. I was extreemly happy.. I did a nice mix of city, stop and go, highway and some heavy foot action going onto rotarys, on ramps and merges and a mini race.. 409 Miles now on the odo!
