How many mpg are you getting?

On my first tank I averaged 24 miles per gallon.
Scond tank went up to 25 mpg.
third tank 28mpg
fourth tank is back down to 25mpg?

I wonder what the national average really is!

They say 20 to 26mpg, but what is yours?

I havent broken 20.6 but I am back around 19.8 as Ive been pushing the car harder and harder. this is like 100% VERY much city driving, Im going around campus, the 20.6 came from about 40 mile drive.

EDIT: this is by computer, I meant to start a meter when I last filled up, but forget, Its time to fill up again tho.

HOWEVER, The computer is off by ~+.7mpg, and that makes a big difference.

COMPUTER SAYS 18.0 most of the time. And I do alot of sitting at stop lights, starting and stopping the car, and driving like a maniac

 

a night at the drag strip lowered me to COMPUTER 16.7

when i take the hwy....i get around 25 but i have gotten to 29 a few times.

I live in a hilly area, so i race up hill and cost down, that may be why my mpg is so good.

I bet i Hold the record for top speed without going over 4000rpms

My computer says that I'm getting 13.6 mpg. Is that right? I've been keeping it under 4000 rpm but it's been surface street traffic mostly.

 

I would reset the computer, and see what mpg it gets you on your next drive.

if its still 13, then you may wonder.

As your car breaks in, the mpg with similar driving conditions should improve.

 

errrr. that does... by under 4000 do you mean you rev to 4000 all the time? what do you cruise at? staying under 4000 doesnt help if you ride with the engine at 3000RPMs...

and sure Ill race you, any one of your cars, so long as during the race you get 28mpg hehehe. lets see a quarter mile... you only need 1/112th of a gallon of gas for a quarter mile. lets roll bro! hehehehe

I've saved every gas receipt for every fillup since day 1. I'm at 10,288 mi and my last 3 fillups have been 22.76, 23.03, 23.33. It's actually increased from the 18-19 during breakin. I drive mostly freeway, but I'm not exactly easy on the gas.

 

I just filled up and set the odometer and what not, but Im confused...

I put 12.257 in the tank, and before filling up I had about a quarter tank left.... whered the other almost 3 gallons go? the Z does have a 20 gallon tank right? it even said I had like 87miles to empty, according to this I had almost 8 gallons left, so I was gonna get 10mpg? something doesnt add up. maybe I was misinformed and the tank isnt 20gallons....

all I do know is that gas is friggen expensive, 1.499 for high test gas!

 

Wow, 1.499? that's cheap... we pay ~1.90 around here for the good stuff...

anyways, 18.7 computer... haven't reset since the very first fill up... on 3rd tank now

 

I just got my 3rd tank today. That price is really cheap. I have a couple places near me that are $1.55 for 93 Octane and I thought that was pretty good!

The tank has quite a reserve. It is 20 gallons, but it always tries to trick you into filling up before you get to 18. I've gone until the trip computer has ------ as DTE, and then another 20 miles (for a total of 440 miles) and still only put in 17 gallons.

I'm currently averaging 24.3 (computer) over 4500 miles. I haven't reset the computer since I got the car.

I'm getting 15 MPG now that my car is broken in. If I drive like a normal person, I get 20 to 25 MPG.
